Hello, we are a family owned business who take pride in what we do. Our love for Australian Mountain Doodles grows everyday…I grew up raising Australian shepherds and have always been amazed at their intelligence, athleticism and loyalty.
Dogs have brought so much joy into my life and have been some of my best friends. Growing up if you saw me you also saw my dog. It wasn’t uncommon to find “Gator” riding on the back of my motorcycle or running alongside my tractor or vehicle. I would be lost without a dog and have only not had a dog by my side for 3 months during one college semester.
My husband and I grew up in rural communities where we were given many opportunities to learn a work ethic, responsibility, and many life lessons while working with cattle and other farm animals.
We want our children to also have experiences like we did and have found raising dogs and puppies has provided this! It excites us to be able to provide an atmosphere of learning for our children and puppies and we love watching them grow up together.
WHY AUSTRALIAN MTNS DOODLES?
I came across my first Australian Mountain Doodle (AMD) while searching for a perfect puppy for my family! A breeder in Utah opened my eyes to this beautiful breed! “Maveric” a gorgeous Aussie mountain doodle stole my heart and I realized that the sisters who bred and raised him had truly hit the jack pot!! I reached out to them to buy a puppy (to my dismay they were 2 years out and over $5000…I could not wait that long nor pay that much)… so I began the journey to discover how to combine the 3 dogs breeds to raise them with my kids.
I soon learned that breeding an Australian Shepherd with a Bernedoodle results in a beautiful puppy with temperament and intelligence of an Australian Shepherd, loyalty and strength of the Bernese Mountain Dog, and longevity and hypo-allergenic coat of a poodle. Need I say more?!! Cottonwood creek doodles lit a fire in me and not a thousand fire trucks can put it out !!
Our children play a large role in owning and raising dogs. Each one (we have 4) has a personal dog or two and is responsible for feeding them, bathing them, exercising, training, and raising their puppies!
Socializing puppies with children at a young age is one of the greatest things a breeder can do. Because most of our puppies go to families with children or grandchildren of all ages having our dogs exposed to young children at an early age is crucial.
We live in Randolph, Ut. It is a beautiful rural community that thrives from raising cattle. In the summer our family manages a water system and operate an excavation business with main focus to develop water systems for livestock. Our dogs go with us everywhere and as result of our employment our dogs are exposed to many sounds (cattle, motor, tools, large vehicles and heavy equipment) in addition to the normal everyday home life sounds and smells (vacuums, radio, blow drier, TV etc).
We enjoy the variety of looks, sizes, coat types, and colors we are able to create with this amazing breed and encourage you to research which “type” is best for you and we look forward to getting to know our customers and meeting your needs.
