A year ago I had never even heard of an Australian Mountain Doodle, now that’s the only breed I will ever own. I recommend dry canyon pups to all my friends. I love my sweet girl, Halo. She has a beautiful coat and aI love that I can groom her to different lengths and achieve a new look. I can also just rim her face and let her waves grow out and her coat doesn’t tangle when it’s long. She has minimal to no shedding, I never find any clumps of hair on the floor. She can keep up with me on long 4 hour hikes but is also happy with just short walks. She is great with my grandkids and with other dogs. I was surprised by how much of a “Velcro” dog she is. She always stays right by my side and has never run off. She always has her eyes on me making her very easy to train. She has brought so much joy to my life!

Hailey kept us informed daily form the moment they were born ensuring they were nurtured by her wonderful children. That love rubs off on the pups and was an instant selling point for why we went with Dry Canyon. Buddy Biscuit is now happily living in Maryland and is exceeding ALL of our expectation. Hailey described the breed characteristics and temperament of Biscuit’s parents: Indi x Archie. The best qualities of each seems to have been perfectly blended. She picks up training lessons fast and has the most piercing sweet eyes. Bringing a puppy into our life is so much more than “being a dog”…Hailey helped us grow our family and couldn’t have mad e the experience more enjoyable!

“Missy” is gorgeous, definitely an attention getter! I Can’t go anywhere without somebody stopping me to ask about her and where I got her!! My mom has flat out been trying to steel Missy from my family!
I can’t go anywhere without somebody stopping me and asking me for your social media. This dog is getting so much attention! She’s gorgeous! Missy is a great dog, I love her…eager to please and she’s so sweet. She does not shed at all. She has a face just like her mom (river). She is a perfect size for an indoor dog. She prefers to be outside though. Great with my kids too.

Getting a puppy is so exciting but so much more than most people think. My husband and I fell in love with two of Hailey’s puppies from Sugar and Stanley and were undecided which one we wanted. Hailey was so helpful navigations through the process providing in depth information about the puppies personalities and numerous FaceTime videos. After much deliberation we took both pups and now they are one year old. My boys are gorgeous with unbelievable smarts and temperament. She even boarded a plane brought them to us and helped put our anxieties at ease with her vast knowledge and experience as well as health guantees. she is an amazing person with love and the upmost care. Hailey was an absolute blessing and would highly recommend her.

Whe he cry’s Kian runs right over to him to console him from the time he was 9 months old. We love him so much! He has never ruined any furniture. If you are looking to add a fur baby to you family, look no further than Dry Canyon Pups. They were great every step of the way. We did a lot of research on different dog breeds and couldn’t be happier with our mini AMD. Hailey was great at helping us find the best fit for our family. Loki is so sweet, loves to play and go on hikes with the family. He is a good traveler and prefers the cold to the heat. Thank you for helping bring Loki into our lives…we couldn’t imaging life without him.

As a first time dog owner I couldn’t have found a better puppy for my family. Badger (black tri male) is the perfect addition! He is great with my kids and helps me feel safe when my husband is gone. He is a very loyal dog and loves us as much as we love him! Thank you Hailey and Kids.
Sugar x Fido: Black tri male
Annie P. is a Pistol! She’s positive, playful and has personality plus! Her feline siblings say she’s a pest (although they have come to a truce relationship now) but her canine brother says she’s perfect!

In short with dry canyon pups you will get professional service/knowledge/cared for, happy loving puppies every time. Hailey walked me through everything! She even got my little one chipped and even purchased a crate cage for him because my area didn’t have one the size I need. Hailey is a fantastic breeder and really knows her stuff. If you want to work with someone who will go the extra mile for you than look no further. My boy is so good, potty trained so fast and as a carpenter by profession he joins me often at work.

What an amazing experience. We began searching fo a furnished AMD and quickly realized that the dog of our dreams wan an UNFURNISHED Australian Mountain Doodle. We traveled to Utah not once, but twice to look at two litters and both times we were blown away by this family. Our children got to meet their children and spend an incredible afternoon on the ranch. The amount of love and care that goes into all of these pups is exactly what you want when bringing home a new family member! We met our puppy at three weeks of age and then arranged for Hailey to have the puppy delivered to us at eight weeks. Our puppy came to us, confident, happy, healthy, and completely joyful! We feel so fortunate that we waited for the perfect breeder and the perfect dog.

We ADORE “Olive,” and she is just what we needed! She is full of energy but loves her people and loves to be near us and cuddle…Olive is our first breed outside of a Golden Retriever and she is more cautious. She sheds very little (I only notice it on my black clothes after holding her). She weighed 13lbs at 12 weeks. Her coat is silky smooth and mostly loose curls. She LOVES her two big fur brothers and loves to run and plan with them. She goes with me everywhere! She travels very well and loves her crate in the car on longer trips. Everyone is in love with her.

“Miles” is the best hiking dog. He’s the family dog but mostly mine. Many people are impressed with his demeanor. He even does the thing where they hug you with their neck! He loves water and gets along well with his little brother and human brother. Miles has been a breeze.
1 year update:
Miles is almost a year old and he is faster and has more stamina than his Brittani brother Sheldon! He’s pretty dang impressive on the trails. He’s funny too. if he decides to run off in the woods after a squirrel and we keep riding, he has a weird coyote sounding yip he does because he doesn’t want to get left behind. What a fun dog! AMD’s are all around amazing pups. Athletic, lay in your lap, swimming, hiking, snorkeling for rocks, all around amazing family dogs! And the best part, hardly any shedding! Our Brittany is the worst shedder and he leaves white Sheldon hairs everywhere!!!

We have absolutely loved our dry canyon pup! We received Bently back in January and he has forever changed our lives. We were first so impressed and captivated by the beautiful colors and markings that he had. We fell in love just from the first picture of him and then we met him for the first time our hearts exploded. The whole process of meeting with his breeder was amazing! We contacted Hailey letting her know we were interested and she was so amazing with it all, she called us and helped make us feel so comfortable with the whole process. We were so pleased when we met her, Bentley was clean and as handsome as ever! We were so happy. He has been such an amazing dog, and a wonderful companion to my husband and I. We are still to their day mesmerized by how beautiful his markings are and he always gets compliments! We love our Dry Canyon Pup!

We love our 2 puppies so much! We keep saying that we are so glad we got two. They are sleeping so good at night! They are officially our babies!! Ridge loves the snow. Sky a little smaller than Ridge. We are so glad we got two and wouldn’t have it any other way.

We will forever be grateful you for letting us get Gabby. My husband loves her! She slept in her crate all night no crying! I left her door open and she went to the bathroom on the little pellets and finished all her water and food. My son loves her and is getting more brave by the minute to interact. Thank you for such an amazing puppy!!! Please tell your kids thank you for taking such good care of her! She is not a fan of remote control dinosaurs! LOL. She has been absolutely perfect for my son, we went to my mom in laws for Christmas and he is usually so scared of her dogs and he is not scared anymore! Gabby and him are the best of friends. I can never thank you enough!

I have a beautiful 1 year old boy. Ryder, from Hailey and family. Honestly, I could not ask for a better puppy nor a better breeder to have received him from. The family makes sure your puppy is socially comfortable with people, kids, dogs, cats, and what have you. They raise them as part of their family, so by the time they get to your arms, they are naturally ready to become a loving asset to your family. Not to mention they go the extra mile to make sure your pups arrives safe and healthy. I could not have asked for a better family to get my sweet boy from. Thank you, Hailey, for the love you put into your dogs and puppies.

ABOUT:
The Aussie Mtn Doodle (AMD) Is the perfect combination of the Australian Shepherd, Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog. Separately these dogs are wonderful but the combination is even better!! The AMD is more willing to please, less stubborn to train and make the best family dogs. Each individual breed brings unique and desirable traits to the table.
They are intelligent and athletic like the Aussie, shed less and live longer like a poodle, and loyal like the Bernese Mtn Dog. I can’t say enough good about these dogs! Growing in popularity and quickly stole my heart! On a sale of 1-10 (10 being high shedder like a Bernese and 0 a Poodle) an AMD falls in a 3 to 4 range, shedding only half the amount of a purebred Australian shepherd.
This 3 breed combination has amazing hybrid vigor! They do well in hot and cold climates. You can shave their coat without ruining it. Most love water and can go on big adventures. Sizes vary from 20-80lbs depending on parent combinations. The AMD has been said to be the “Best Family Dog” by several! Respectful of size (don’t jump on adults or mow over small children) and have very controllable energy. Eager to please but know when it’s time to chill. Though they enjoy a walk if a rainy day comes you way they will be happy to hang out inside with you. Their greatest desire is to “mesh with their families” they want to be a part of your life–whatever that entails!
MEET THE 3 BREEDS
individually they are good but together they are better!
The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is the 17th most popular dog in the United States, and given their intelligence and temperament, it’s no wonder they’re so well-loved. Despite their name, the Australian Shepherd actually originated from the ranches of the United States around the 1800s. They are praised by stockmen and breeders for their trainability and intelligence. They have a medium build and a wide variation of different coat colors.
Australian Shepherds have considerable energy and they usually need a job to do to keep themselves entertained, though they’re also happy to spend time with the family and settle down at the end of the day. Australian Shepherds are often employed as guide dogs, rescue dogs, and therapy dogs. In addition to exercising an Aussie, it’s equally important to keep their mind occupied, as if an an Australian Shepherd gets bored they do have the tendency to invent their own games or activities, which sometimes involve destructive behaviors. This is a breed that thrives on close companionship. Aussies are at times called “Velcro Dogs” for their tendency to stay close to their owner.
The Standard Poodle is a popular, water-loving dog used for centuries as a bird dog and popular pet. Poodles were established in Germany by the 15th century. Oddly enough, they are the national dog breed of France, and they were the most popular breed of dog in the United States throughout the 1960s and 70s. They’re still quite popular today, owing to their intelligence, trainability, and non-shedding coats. Although well-known for their fancy fur, they’re one of the most intelligent breeds of dog and require a lot of exercise and stimulation.
The Bernese Mountain Dog, commonly referred to as a ‘Berner’, is a versatile working dog that is both visually pleasing and a loyal companion. The Bernese Mountain Dog was bred to herd cattle, pull carts and be a watchdog in the Swiss farmlands. The ancient ‘Molosser’ breed is considered the main contributor to Mastiff-type dogs, which include the Berner. It is likely that the Molosser bred with farm dogs from the Swiss Alps in the first century B.C., developing a number of Swiss Sennenhund (“mountain dog”) breeds, including the Berner Sennenhund. It is thought that the Berner continued working on these Swiss farmlands for over 2,000 years, before their primary purpose switched from herding cattle to appearing as a show dog in the early 20th century. They were first classified as the Bernese Mountain Dog at this time by the Swiss Kennel Club. Following World War I, in which the breed nearly became extinct, Berners were exported to America before being accepted by the AKC as an official breed in 1937. Breed development faltered somewhat during World War II before Berners became an established and popular breed in the mid to late 20th century.
This easygoing breed likes to be around their owners, where their calm and intelligent nature makes them a beloved family dog. Berners exhibit their working dog instincts in their willingness to learn and relative ease to be trained. Their heritage also often results in being protective and sometimes shy towards new people and dogs. Early socialization training allows the Bernese Mountain Dog to learn to overcome initial caution around new things. This breed is a large dog, weighing around 100 pounds, and likes to keep busy, so it is important training is conducted while young and manageable. While they are well-tempered dogs, they are slow to mature and often exhibit puppy behavior for a number of years before reaching full maturity. Due to their beautiful and thick double coat, Berners tend to shed generously, requiring frequent brushing to keep under control. Unfortunately, owing to their size and limited gene pool, Bernese Mountain Dogs are prone to health problems and have a life expectancy of between 6-8 years. Nonetheless, this lovable dog carries many attractive traits that see Berners rank as the 29th most popular breed.
